A Rainy Day Adventure with Lolong @ Sitio Antonio Resort

With the sprouting of thematic wavepool resorts in the province, not to mention its proximity and  accessible location via North Luzon Expressway, Bulacan has already attracted numerous wavepool fanatic guests and families from Manila and the nearby provinces. Thus, Bulacan can be considered as the resort tourism capital of Luzon.

While in search for a resort for my son’s birthday last week, I’ve discovered a recently opened wavepool resort in Pandi, Bulacan.  Sitio Antonio Wavepool Resort has its soft-opening operation last May of 2013. The attraction of the resort is the Lolong Wavepool Resort with a 25 ft long Crocodile named after “Lolong”,  the largest crocodile captured in Agusan region.

The resort has still some minor constructions and improvements being done during our visit. They have already 3 pools operational at the moment,  Filipiniana inspired native cottages and Bamboo Hut Restaurant offering some local Pinoy sumptuous and mouth watering dishes.

Whale Shark or Butanding (whatever it is called) will welcome everyone as they enter the resort.

                        5-6 ft pool

Kiddie Pool for your little ones. But I bet they would still prefer the Lolong Wave Pool.

Notice the slide at the tail of the crocodile. It would have been much more enjoyable for the kids if they put the crocodile in a more upward position  to give more slope to the slides.

There are various types of cottages scattered all around the resort.

What I like more about Sitio Antonio is that they were too generous on the waves I think at every hour interval with 30 minutes wave duration.  If the management would stick to the native inspired themed wavepool resort, add some crocodile figures or any other species known only in the Philippines, some cascading waterfalls, carabao cart ride as well as aliwan fiestas street dancing during the summer season, the resort has a great potential and could be a major competitor to the nearby Amana Waterpark Resort.

Over-all, considering the cleanliness, ambiance, good customer service and the waves, Sitio Antonio Wavepool Resort still meets our family standard and expectation of what a good and affordable resort is.

Please do consider this resort on your next family and barkada outing. Entrance and Cottages Fees are listed on their FB site.
